r.i.p. adam west

Adam West passed away on June 9, 2017. Born William West Anderson, it seems he always played a fictional version of himself.

Best known for Batman in the sixties, I caught reruns of these episodes, yet Adam West kept showing up in shows. He made appearances in The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Flash, The Ben Stiller Show, Batman: The Animated Series, The Rugrats, Lois and Clark, Animaniacs, Newsradio, and The Adventures of Pete & Pete.

West’s acting style never changed, he was definitely an actor of an era. But we didn’t want anything else from him, his comedic timing and sense of humor about himself is something everyone should strive for.

Something that’s always stuck with me is the pilot for Lookwell, the series never got picked up, it might’ve been ahead of it’s time when it was produced. But West is amazing in it.

Adam West is Batman for a generation, he’s always been a reminder that you fight the darkness with the light. To quote many a persons on the internet, “He was the brightest of Dark Knights.”
You will be missed.
