ant-man and the wasp – all the buzz is true

Ant-Man and the Wasp is the sequel to, you guessed it!, Ant-Man. This film brings back everyone from the first film, Peyton Reed is back at the directing chair, with the film being written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, and Paul Rudd, Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. The movie stars Rudd as Scott Lang (Ant-Man)Evangeline Lily as Hope van Dyne (the Wasp), Michael Pena, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hanna John-Kamen, Abby Ryder Fortson, Randall Park, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, and Michael Douglas.
Ant-Man and the Wasp takes place two years after the events in Captain America: Civil War, and before the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Lang is balancing home life as a father with his super heroic life as Ant-Man, Hope and Hank come back into the picture with a proposal that may cause a disruption in his life, what’s a guy supposed to do??

Spider-Man: Homecoming is the latest Spider-Man movie, this time it’s directed by Jon Watts with a screenplay by Jonathan Goldstein and Francis Daley, Watts and Christopher Ford, and Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland (reprising his role from Captain America: Civil War), Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.

Doctor Strange is the latest Marvel Studios film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s about the character with the same name. It’s directed by Scott Derrickson, who also wrote the film, along with Jon Spaihts and C. Robert Cargill. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the titular character, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton. Doctor Stephen Strange is a brilliant surgeon who learns magic and the mystic arts after a surviving a car accident that ends his career in the medical field. Ant-Man is the latest installment into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s about Scott Lang as he becomes the new Ant-Man, but his troubled past catches up with him when he plots a heist with an older inventor bent on saving the world from certain destruction, so this time his criminal skills are put to good use.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is about our favorite superhero team venturing out on another mission to save the world, in this case, it’s a mechanized creation that that’s highly intelligent, highly resourceful, and highly charismatic. man of steel sequel – no thanks… no thanks – updated

THIS JUST IN!! Turns out I’m (probably) right, here’s the evidence. Isn’t that just the darnedest?

A movie with Superman and Batman should be a summer blockbuster… right? Right?! The film isn’t due until 2016, and it’s already moved its release date, to March… So that it won’t go head to head with Captain America 3… all signs continue to point to disaster.

So let me get this straight… the sequel to Man of Steel, is going to be called Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice?
I always want to see a movie before I pass judgement, but facts as they are now, make it extremely difficult to be excited for this film…

guardians of the galaxy – the end of the summer closes on a high note

Guardians of the Galaxy is the latest Marvel film, this time we’re propelled way in to cosmos instead of New York. It’s about some shady characters that are unwillingly brought together due to a highly coveted orb and certain galactic destruction. They’re then forced into an alliance and have to work together.
Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn, he also co-wrote the script with Nicole Perlman, it stars; Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace,  Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. X-Men: Days of Future Past is about the direct sequel to X-Men: First Class. It returns Bryan Singer to the X-Men film franchise, it’s produced as always by the lovely Lauren Shuler Donner, written by Simon Kinberg, and stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Ellen page, Nicholas Hoult, and new comers to the franchise Peter Dinklage and Evan Peters.
It’s about Wolverine traveling back to the time for First Class and helping alter a desolate future. So dump your trash in to Mr. Fusion and put the pedal to the metal to hit 88 miles per hour and travel back to the 70s! Continue reading
